NCQA News Release (PDF)
Hudson IPA is now NCQA Certified for Credentialing and can assume delegated credentialing and recredentialing for our members. This ensures that providers are credentialed and recredentialed on a timely basis.
2.Medical Management:
Effective medical management requires analytical capabilities to identify problems, aberrations and trends, with hands-on intervention by qualified medical staff to alter behavior and implement change. Hudson IPA has the technical skills and experienced staff to provide the full array of these services: |

Data Analysis to Support Benefit Modifications and Employee Education - The SmartCare data analysis tool can be used to analyze health care costs at a disease-specific or “episode of care” level. This information can assist benefit consultants and Human Resources professionals to identify specific health care cost trends that can be addressed through employee education or benefit modification efforts.
Catastrophic and Complex Case Management - Health care costs are often concentrated in a small number of diagnoses for chronic and complex cases. With appropriate medical staff intervention providing support, education, and/or alternative care delivery settings, these costs can be controlled. Hudson IPA works with employers to identify these areas and develop the appropriate intervention strategies.
Disease Management - Chronic diseases such as diabetes generate high utilization of health care services. Hudson IPA works with employers to identify these areas and develop programs to control these costs while assisting patients and their physicians.
Utilization Data Analysis and Profiling - Using SmartCare, a cutting-edge data analytical tool, Hudson IPA’s Medical Directors evaluate medical costs using data from an employer’s claims database. The analysis begins at the regional, hospital or specialty level and drills down to identify individual physician comparative and trend data. This information is used to develop programs to modify physician behavior.
